Anathem - a review
In a review, it's always a good thing to know where the reviewer is coming from.
With that in mind, a short history of my Neal Stephenson book history would be in order:
Using lh_build to test Debian Lenny
Lenny is on his way soon, having already been frozen. For those on a Debian-based system (including Ubuntu), you can easily create yourself a Lenny livecd for testing and bug hunting.

$ lh_config

Scripts for viewing Olympic video

However, if you decide to try and check out a bit of backstage action on your linux box, you'll be told (politely) "Go away, kid, ya bother me".
However, the intrepid folks over in the Ubuntu forums have come up with a way, albeit convoluted, for those of us on the fringes to take part. Basically, they've created 3 different scripts to parse the Olympic site and parse out the stream urls, which you can then pass into your favorite media player.
