I am reading at the Google Code site about a Usability sprint that was
held recently at
http://google-code-updates.blogspot.com/2006/10/floss-usability-sprint.html

I wonder if we have critical mass of programmers to do things like
these coding sprints, or things like the Recent Changes camp
(http://www.recentchanges.org)
or the portland BarCamp (http://barcamp.org/BarCampPortland).

Do we have critical mass in Corvallis and with the 1,000,000 people
within 50 miles of corvallis to start setting up events focused on
programmers?

The SAO local chapter is thinking of setting up a Technical Sig (
special interest group).

If you are a programmer or you know a programmer who would find it
interesting to participate in regular activities that are highly
technical and involve actual programming and expecially if you are
interested in Open Source Coding,
Please drop me a note and let me know what kinds of things would
benefit you the most. Please spread the word about this.
