I've produced a number of smaller publications (200-250 page books) for
printing, some print-on-demand, and also eBooks and eDocs. Each publisher
has their own specific publishing protocols and ability to deal with
different file formats. Before you proceed find out what file types your
publishing house accepts/supports and which conversions they can do
in-house.

I have written a novel that is 619 pages, (150 thousand words),
including 2 graphics in TIFF adding up to 2 megs each.
